What does a Counsellor do?
As a counsellor I value each person as an individual, believing they are the expert on themselves.
I am there to help you develop your own coping skills and resources, not to give you advice or tell you what to do. I will be with you on your journey in discovering your own answers.
I will listen carefully to your thoughts and feelings, working in a non-judgemental way, respecting your therapeutic needs.
What does counselling involve?
Counselling can:
Allow you time, space and a peaceful environment to start to explore feelings and thoughts.
Help you to acknowledge and understand these feelings and thoughts, and to see them from a different perspective.
Enable you to regain control of your life, and move forward in a positive way.
Our work together will be in a confidential and safe environment.
